Hello! Before i start with anything, gotta announce that i changed my blogspot if you hadn't notice already. Now it will be aclosetofmemories.blogspot.com, Relink please, thanks!
I practically studied the whole morning, dozing off at intervals, so i guess i didn't gain anything much. And finally i couldn't stand a minute of chemistry any longer so i decided to blog about my vacation to HongKong! Quite a long post, picture heavy too. Will be writing in details, bear with it. (: 31st May 2011.
Well the four of us i.e. dad mum hime and i, woke up at freaking 3am in the morning when our plane is taking off at 7am. Ridiculous much? But it's like an unwritten rule to go to the airport 2hours before the plane take flight for the customs and luggage and stuffs. I still find it complicating to remember the airport procedures.
The theme is red? My HushPuppies bloody luggage and my favourite Ferrari collection Puma hand-carry bag. What a long name. Oh and my red Playboys. The skinnies don't belong to me because frankly, i seldom wear long pants as i will risk looking shorter.
My baby. I couldn't bear to leave her for 5 days under the care of our maid T_T
And we took a pre-booked cab, reached LCCT terminal at about 5am. I was so disappointed because i didn't know we wouldn't be going to KLIA. I wanted to go to KLIA so badly. I didn't know for AirAsia we need to go to this lame LCCT. It doesn't even look like an airport it looked like a freaking cargo. Ugh ):
Chilling at OldTown while we wait for boarding. Yes that was me in my passport. Omgwtf right! I cannot believe i had the face of a pancake-slash-basketball. *dumbstruck* But sadly it's like my hairstyle never really changed.
And finally we boarded the plane! AirAsia sucks to the max. I wished we've gotten MAS instead. T_T The nasi lemak was pre-booked by our tour leader, it didn't taste nice.
Amazing view from the plane window. It's been years since i've been on a plane wow. The flight took about 3-4 hours and it was really tiring, i couldn't find a comfy position to sleep. ):
Reached there and was greeted by our tour guide, Peter. Oh did i mention? We weren't going on a backpacking trip, we were following a tour. There's a total of 16 people in our group and the people wasn't so bad.
This is our first meal at HK! Typical chinese meal, not much difference from Malaysia. But HongKong is like 10x cleaner.
Our first destination was Wong Tai Sin Temple (黄大仙庙) and of course it was boring. Not to mention that i was so fatigue due to lack of sleep.
And the sun was emitting heat like nobody's business. It's even hotter than Malaysia ugh.
We took a lot of crap pictures because we were so bored.
The 2nd place we went was some Jewelry shop that, apparently, Jackie Chan sponsored or something like that. (We even saw Jackie Chan's house) That fishy woman in the picture was introducing to us about all the different types of gold blabla, didn't bother to listen. She talked like a bullet train for God's sake.
After wards we went to Repulse Bay (浅水湾). Sadly no dogs allowed i miss Fluffy ):
The long-life bridge. Apparently your life will be extended 3 years if you walk across the bridge. I walked twice, does that mean i get 6 years? ;P
The next destination, Aberdeen Fishing Village (香港仔渔村). Boring!
Then we went to Golden Bauhinia Square (金紫荊广场 ). If i'm not mistaken China gave HK this statue for..okay i forgot. Was tired and bored to death by that time.
The streets of HongKong. As you can see most of their streets were small and narrow with signboards sticking out everywhere.
And finally at night we checked in our gorgeous 5star hotel which is named L Hotel? If i'm not mistaken. The lobby was so spacious and elegant.
And ta-da! Hime and my hotel room. Yeap from the picture it's the view from the bathroom, and yes the bathroom is freaking transparent! You can pull the curtains over of course, but by covering the glass with the curtains you will splash the whole bathroom with water. So i can't help but think that the bathroom was designed to let people see you bath from the other side. The perverted fantasies of the interior designer, i'm sure! There's even a full-day adult movie on the TV wtf. Mum&dad's room was the same, they had a transparent shower instead of a bathtub. -_-
Another great thing about this room, full length mirror! The bed was kinda comfy too. The TV was nice, we watched a HK drama for 3days haha. I'm addicted to it, but it's only on AstroOnDemand in Malaysia. Might be asking dad to sign up for that hehe.
After we showered and stuff, went out for a walk. Our hotel was just next to this CityWalk shopping centre. Was so damn exhausted, technically i didn't sleep properly since 3am okay.
Our yummy supper at night with a cup of hot milo and cantonese drama. Was so lethargic i fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow.
To summarize my first day at HK, it was oh-my-goodness so boring. But the next day was fun because it's Disneyland! Heh. Will blog about it when i'm free. Anyway if you want more pics you can check out Hime's facebook. Stay tuned hey. (:
